![]() The new 2016 version crashes anytime I attempt to update a database connection from one of our old XML source that worked seamlessly in 10.4. Very disappointed in the new 2016 version. The software download is free, and has a 30 day free trial. I didn't pay for the software or the license. Opmerkingen: I get a paycheck for working with it twice a month If it is a new use for the software to generate a specific label format, barcode, etc - the Seagull Scientific website has a wealth of training files that cover how to design and manage the file.īarTender was a signficant upgrade from Zebra Designer, and I have no complaints about its capability or functionality in everyday use. It seems like every labeling obstacle I've come up against in the med device realm has been handled easily by BarTender. It has been a software that has grown with us over the last 4 years, and it looks like it will continue to do so. We use it to meet a wide range of needs - from basic labels with no variable info - all the way to automatic serialization, and printing IDs from linked databases. It is easy to use the set-up wizard to get started, and has high quality training videos for all levels of use. One of the most cited non-conformances for med device manufacturers are related to labeling, and we have had significantly less problems since transferring our device labeling to BarTender. It made label generation and review difficult. The labeling software we were using back then didn't link fields for variable data, resulting in our label operators entering lot and date information in multiple locations in different formats for a single label. Opmerkingen: As a med device manufacturer, we were looking for a solution to a label control issue we were having in 2016. It's not that often that it does, but when it does it can cause some problems for our business. If would be nice if it had a better monitoring system to know when something goes wrong. Because we aren't using the front end for normal use, end users can't get error messages. We have it set up to run waiting for drop files (with the integration builder). There is a very short learning curve with the product. Setting up the fields that need to read the data is easy to set up to. Designing label templates is as easy as power point. The user interface is really well defined for people that don't code. You can make some very good paper reports that are much easier to maintain than SSRS reports. Don't forget you can print to a regular printer too. And the ease of creating labels is really nice. ![]() Also the integration builder is a really powerful way to automate a lot of things. ![]() If you see inaccuracies in our content, please report the mistake via this form.Opmerkingen: They play really well with the zebra printers, which a lot of other software doesn't (like SSRS reports). ![]() ![]() It would be easy to list even more things about Spelunky that I love, but a big part of why it’s so great is the discovery. It just takes time and the willingness to pay attention, something which I feel like Spelunky earns. I’d argue that earning everything yourself is a big part of the fun, however, and I’d also argue that Spelunky being a 2D platformer means that it’s not too hard to “ git gud”. As a roguelike, you’re going to die, over and over again, with no carryover for items beyond a shortcut system that you have to earn. There are players who will never finish it, but that’s not really what it’s all about. One point of criticism I’ve heard many times throughout Spelunky’s lifetime is that it’s too hard. Something else for you to learn – monkeys, unless they’re the golden variety, are not your friend. Sure, I’ve beaten Olmec and made it to the end a fair few times now, but have I told you about the time a monkey jumped on my back, ripping one of my last bombs out and sending us both into oblivion. In some ways, Spelunky is even more about its failures than it is about the wins. There are so many different ways to mess up at any given moment that you’re bound to come out with some great ones. Little stories like the one above flow through Spelunky’s code. Did you know that even the smallest bit of treasure can activate an arrow trap if it happens to fall into it? I’ve played Spelunky for close to a decade and I only found that out from the Switch port. What’s amazing is that you never stop learning stuff. As you go further into the mines and reach later biomes, the lessons get harder, but even more satisfying to take in. That scenario is early Spelunky stuff, by the way. Back to the start you go – another death, another lesson learnt. ![]() That’s when you accidentally chuck it into an explosive crate, sending it flying at you and knocking you both into spikes. That anime influence also extends to the TV show’s visceral violence. The use of other classic anime visuals, such as facial expression illustrations to display a character’s mood, close-ups on characters’ faces, and over-the-top action sequences, appear throughout, too. Characters occasionally emote and physically move as they would in any anime production. But the show’s animation is seamlessly fluid, while its 2D aesthetic has a painterly, almost anime-like style to it. Sure, they’re not ground-breaking in the vein of Arcane, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse or The Mitchells Vs the Machines. What of the show’s aesthetic then? For a company whose previous credits include Star Trek: Lower Decks and Marvel Studios’ Loki, Titmouse has done a good job with The Legend of Vox Machina’s animated and static visuals. Employing an abbreviated version of the Kraghammer or Vasselheim arcs would have sufficed. The Legend of Vox Machina’s first two episodes don’t serve as the group’s origin story, so it’s a curious move to craft a new jumping-in point. Given that there are two story arcs – comprising 23 episodes in total – in the original campaign, some established Critical Role fans may question why one of these prior arcs wasn’t utilized instead. On the whole, it’s a pleasing starter to the main course, aka the Briarwood arc, but this plot divergence may not be to every fan’s liking. This episodic two-parter not only provides brand new material for established fans to enjoy, but also helps to introduce non-Critical Role fans to the series’ vast fantasy world, intriguing characters, and D&D-style components. As with any adaptation, some creative liberties have been taken with the Vox Machina web series.įor one, an entirely new narrative, which precedes the Briarwood arc, has been created for Amazon’s adaptation. ![]() Speaking of Sylas Briarwood, the show’s plot adapts the Briarwood arc of Critical Role’s Vox Machina campaign to the letter. We won’t spoil those cameos but, if you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, and Lord of the Rings, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by who’s involved. Much like the original web series, there’s a veritable who’s who of household names voicing the show’s supporting cast, too. Ashley Johnson (Pike), Travis Willingham (Grog), Laura Bailey (Vex), Liam O’Brien (Vax), Taliesen Jaffe (Percy), Marisha Ray (Keyleth), and Sam Reigel (Scanlan) delight once more in their roles, while Critical Role’s Dungeon Master (DM) Matthew Mercer is menacing and chilling as the villainous Sylas Briarwood. There’s enough new content and call-backs to the original campaign to satisfy fans' needsĪmusing moments aren’t the only elements carried over from Critical Role’s series, with the founders and core cast of the web series returning for its animated adaptation. If nothing else, it’s a self-deprecatingly welcome nod to D&D’s iconic tabletop format. The premiere’s opening sequence has Tal’Dorei’s king, advisers and generals standing around a D&D-style war table, complete with figurines, as they debate how they should tackle their nation’s ongoing threat. Amazon’s adaptation retains much of the web series’ humor, with the sibling-like squabbling between the group’s eclectic mix of characters, deadpan hilarity and slapstick moments being carried over to great effect.Īmazon’s desire to preserve the series’ humor is so strong, in fact, that it even gets a little meta at times. If that brief plot summary has fans fearing that The Legend of Vox Machina overlooks the comedy that the original campaign is known for, they need not worry. ![]() Because of this, it’s a little different from router to router, but we’ve detailed the most common way to find it below. It requires you to hook up to your router and fiddle with some settings in its admin panel. How To Change Your PS4 NAT TypeĬhanging your PS4 NAT type isn’t as straightforward as simply navigating through your PS4 and altering a couple of settings. You should find your NAT type listed at the bottom of the page. ![]() ![]() On your PS4 system go to Settings, then Network, then View Connection Status. If you’re wondering how to move your PS4 NAT Type to NAT Type 2, our guide to changing your PS4 NAT type is here to help. The real NAT sweet spot is NAT Type 2, Moderate. NAT Type 3 is a very strict connection type that enables additional firewall settings. It may eliminate unwanted disconnections, but it’ll leave your network type completely vulnerable. You could also consider splurging on a mesh powerhouse like the Netgear Orbi AX6000, but at a cost of several hundred dollars, it's probably overkill for most homes. You might think that an “Open,” or “Type 1” NAT is ideal, but it’s really not advised to set your router to it. However, if you're living in a larger home, especially a multistory home, then it's worth considering stepping up to a mesh router like the Eero 6 Plus, the Asus ZenWifi XD6, or the TP-Link Deco W7200, because those multiple mesh devices will help ensure a better, more reliable signal throughout the entirety of your home. The tried-and-true Asus RT-AX86U is the one I'd probably recommend first because it's been a regular standout through multiple rounds of CNET tests, including full rounds of tests on three separate networks at three separate locations. If you've got a house filled with smart home devices, or multiple family members who each make regular use of your Wi-Fi with a variety of gadgets, or if you've just upgraded your internet plan to add in gigabit speeds, you should probably consider a router with greater bandwidth potential. All told, it adds up to hundreds of speed tests and multiple days of work for each router I review. I'll typically also run dedicated test runs to check the speeds on individual bands, or if the router offers any unique performance settings. I repeat this entire process three times, during morning, afternoon, and evening hours. This approach gives me a good sense at how the router's performance differs when the connection starts up close as opposed to when it starts at a distance, as this can often impact your speeds. Once I've finished in the fifth room, which is farthest from the router, I restart my connection and repeat all of those tests in reverse room order. I connect to the router's network, then I run three speed tests and record the results for upload speed, download speed and latency. For each set of tests, I start in the same room as the router with my test device, a Lenovo ThinkPad Wi-Fi 6 laptop. There are five rooms in that test space, so after setting the router up in the first of them, I run a battery of speed tests in all of them to get a sense of the average speeds at various ranges. test environment with a gigabit fiber connection. Throughout the pandemic, I've been running those tests out of my 1,300 square-foot home in Louisville, Kentucky, but last year, we've were able to move those tests back into the CNET Home test lab, where we've set up a 1,350 sq. Whenever I take a router into consideration, I put it through the same set of comprehensive, controlled speed tests to get a good sense of how it performs compared to other models. Did you know a PlayStation 5 console is a Wi-Fi 6 gadget too? Well, now you do. Have you got an Apple TV 4K or Amazon Fire TV 4K Max media streamer for your TV? Both support Wi-Fi 6.
